Our policies & Product care

POSTAGE

Please allow 3 to 5 days for processing of orders before posting, unless you have ordered a 'Made to order' piece, then please read time frames stated for that specific piece.

All of our items are sent via Australian parcel post which includes tracking. Tracking numbers are sent to you via email once your order is on it's way. Once posted Billy Goat Button does not take responsibility for parcels lost or damaged in transit. We take great care in packaging your goodies up as to prevent any damage. 

We do not currently offer International shipping as a regular postage option. Please contact us for a postage quote if interested. 

CARE OF PRODUCTS 

~ Our clutches & earrings are 100% handmade each one original to it's own design.

~ Care tip: To help keep the shape of your clutch when not in use stuff with tissue paper and store in your wardrobe away from direct light.

~ Earrings & clutches are NOT WATERPROOF, but can be wiped gently with a damp cloth to remove any marks. Keep away from bathroom sinks as water can seep into the vinyl throught the stitching and ruin the painted canvas or confetti.

~ We use mixed media materials to make our costume jewellery. Small beads or wire are some of the components we use in constucting our earrings, please do not let your little ones play with them as these small pieces, if pulled off could be a choking hazard.

~ All our jewellery components have been carefully sourced. We take care in providing the best quality costume jewellery we can. We use surgical steel earring posts and backs which is the safest metal for your ears and won't cause irritation for sensitive ears. Our Gold plated range is made from good quality gold plated stainless steel. These pieces, if cared for properly, will keep their gold colour for a long time. Please store these pieces away from the elements. Remove pieces before applying creams, purfumes, swimming or showering. 

~ Our sequin & confetti range has been designed to be partially see through & these sparkles will move about in your clutch as it is used.

~ Our metallic foil range has been designed for the foil to crackle with use thus creating a vintage appearance over time. Foil may tarnish, this is a natural reaction to the foil when it comes into contact with the air over time. The shininess will dull slightly, but still keep it's cool metallic look!  

~ Try not to leave your clutch/earrings in direct sunlight for long periods of time as this could result in fading of bright colours...& we wouldn't want that, would we ;)....we love colour!

CARE OF FRINGE EARRINGS

~ Fringing can fray! It is the nature of this product to do so with regular use. It cannot be prevented, but with extra care can be maintained for longevity of this product.

~ To keep fringing tame store earrings hanging.

~ A small amount of water can be smoothed over with fingers and then left to hang dry. This is especially helpful when the weather is dry and static messes with your look. 

~ You can also slightly trim the ends (do so at own risk) with a pair of sharp scissors, but take care to cut straight! ;)

CUSTOM DESIGNS

Custom designs and specific to each style and personality of the person requesting them, therefore, no refunds or exchanges will be issued on these pieces. It is important that you convey your exact ideas across to me and double + triple check that you are 100% happy with what I have proposed to you as your final custom piece to be handmade. 

EXCHANGE AND REFUND POLICIES

~ An exchange could be offered after careful consideration of your order, for example if you have bought a gift for someone and it isn't quite right. Please contact me personally to discuss if this does happen to be the case with your order.
~ If an exchange is offered, the item purchased must be returned to me unused and in the same condition that you received it. Postage costs are then the responsibility of the custom. Once your return had been received and inspected, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your return and any further instructions to follow.
~ No refunds or exchanges on custom orders. Please find more details above.
~ No refunds will be issued for 'change of mind' so please choose pieces carefully before purchasing.
~ A refund will only apply to items that are faulty or damaged cause to that item during the handmade process. If this does occur, the damage or fault must be made know to me within 10 days of receiving your order. The item must also be returned to me unsued and in the same condition it was received in.
